ULN2803 is an 8-channel NPN Darlington transistor array IC. It lets the low-current outputs of microcontrollers and logic circuits drive high-current or inductive loads such as relays, stepper motors, solenoids, lamps and LED arrays. Each channel has an integrated flyback (suppression) diode, and the opposite placement of input and output pins simplifies PCB design.
Key features
- 8-channel open-collector Darlington outputs
- 500 mA, 50 V output per channel
- Integrated suppression diodes for inductive loads
- 2.7 kΩ series resistor per input: 5 V TTL / CMOS compatible
- Outputs can be paralleled for higher current
- DIP-18 through-hole package
