SGP40 is a digital VOC (volatile organic compound) sensor developed by Sensirion for indoor air quality applications. Using CMOSens® technology, it offers an I²C interface, a temperature-controlled micro hotplate and a humidity-compensated air quality signal on a single chip. Together with Sensirion’s VOC algorithm it delivers a VOC Index output from 0 to 500 and can be used directly in applications such as fan control in air purifiers.
Key features
- VOC Index output 0–500 with the Sensirion VOC algorithm
- Humidity-compensated indoor air quality signal
- Low power consumption, also suitable for battery-powered applications
- I²C digital interface
- Small 2.44 × 2.44 × 0.85 mm DFN package
