The DS18B20 from Analog Devices is a programmable-resolution digital temperature sensor that communicates over a single data line (1-Wire®). Thanks to each sensor’s unique 64-bit serial code, many DS18B20s can work on the same data line. This TO-92 version is suitable for through-hole mounting and can be used with an external supply or powered from the data line (parasite power mode).
Key features
- -55 … +125 °C measurement range
- ±0.5 °C accuracy from -10 … +85 °C
- 9–12-bit user-selectable resolution
- 1-Wire® interface: a single data line for communication
- Multiple sensors on one line with a unique 64-bit serial code
- Non-volatile (EEPROM) programmable alarm thresholds, parasite power support
